Public Housing

 

Public Housing provides decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers Federal aid to local housing agencies (HAs) to manage the housing for low-income residents at rents they can afford.

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher - The Waiting List is currently CLOSED.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a type of Federal assistance provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) dedicated to sponsoring subsidized housing for low-income families and individuals. It is more commonly known as Section 8, the reference to the portion of the U.S. Housing Act in which the program is authorized.

Homebuyers Club

The Scott County CDA Homebuyers Club introduces the tools to home ownership. This 6 week course includes education on goal setting, budgeting, debt management, credit repair, the lending process, finding the right home for your family, and home safety and maintenance. Courses are offered three times per year and are open to all Scott County residents. For information on how to register for the next class, click here.
